How to lose weight fast with Muay Thai

You may have many reasons why you are exercising but there is an important byproduct of working out that needs to be taken into consideration, which are the calories you burn. When it comes to losing weight through working out, burning more calories is essential in order to lose weight rapidly. If you are anxious about the calories burned when you work out, consider learning martial arts. Martial arts use almost all our body parts which essentially mean more calories can be burned. Of all the Martial Arts out there, Muay Thai is considered one of the best calorie burning exercises that one can do, for the fact that Muay Thai uses the whole body and is considered beyond the usual kickboxing as it uses some unusual moves such as elbow strikes to the face. This, in turn, yields a very high calorie burning physical regime which is essential for losing weight. Studies have shown that a typical Muay Thai workout can yield around 700 calories when done for an hour so. So if you are in hurry to lose weight, Muay Thai is a very good workout regime along with the following steps:

  1. Regulate your calorie intake on a daily basis. Doing Muay Thai for several hours cannot make you lose weight fast if you don’t watch what you eat. Food is the main source of calories thus, you should check the amount and the type of foods that you are eating on a daily basis. This is to ensure that the number of calories you eat will be burned (and even more) when you do Muay Thai. You may need to count the calories of the food that you are going to eat in a meal or through the day. Or better, you can make a meal plan so as to ensure you are eating enough as well as the correct amount of calories per meal.
  2. Perform Cardio work at least three times a week. Aside from doing Muay Thai, add in some other workout regimes such as running or skipping rope. These types of exercises not only increase your calories burned, they can also increase your stamina when you do Muay Thai too.
  3. Increase your training regime. The main aim of losing more calories is to keep pushing harder. If typically you do Muay Thai for one hour per session, three times per week, you might want to do a few more minutes more per session or do it one more time per week. You add to it gradually until such time you didn’t even know you have doubled your Muay Thai sessions! Doubling means double the calories burned!
  4. Include a strength training routine in your sessions. Not to be confused with bodybuilding, strength training will yield a more muscular body with better definition and of course, strength. Strength training can also help with your Muay Thai – it can help you with the clinching game.

All in all, Muay Thai, used along with other essentials and enhancements, will be able you to lose weight faster than any other exercise routine. It just takes discipline, determination and dedication.
